It sold before I had a chance to get a decent picture of it!!

Sketchbook Page - Tulips

Haven't had time to get out to my studio lately but I did have a play in my sketchbook. Three pages done this week. Here is the first. I LOVE tulips!

Looking forward to Alisa Burke's sketchbook e-course next week :) Her work is adorable.

5 Minutes of play

Found a watercolour sketch pad hiding in the cupboard so had a wee play while the babes were battling it out on the Wii. Not sure what I'll do with it yet, maybe add some more layers and see what eventuates...

And this little guy was looking in my window. Haven't seen one before at our place... CUTE!

Celebrated our 12th anniversary today with a restaurant lunch at the beach with the kiddies. Just lovely!

This was my effort, following the tutorial with the supplies I already had in my stash. It was so much fun, and a great learning tool.

Mixed Media - Learning to Fly

So, here I am... exactly one year since I was introduced to Mixed Media at a night class at the local studio of Wendy Walls. Totally loved it, but was due with my 3rd baby at the time, and never got to finish the course after her arrival. She is almost a year old now, and I am finally finding snippets of time to spend in my own studio, playing with the supplies I have amassed over the last year, dreaming of this time...

This is my creation over this past week. I have been inspired by Roben-Marie Smith's online Mixed Media Mayhem class, and Christy Tomlinson's Chrismas tree canvas tutorial (I will post my effort for that shortly).
